Rooftop Night, Your Card

Went to a rooftop bar in Bangkok last night. The kind with the tiny candles on every table and the whole city spread out below you like it is yours. I wore my white dress and white heels because when the view is this good you have to match it.

My fan booked the table. He has never even been to Bangkok but he found the place online, made the reservation, and sent me enough to cover drinks and a car home. He said he just wanted to know I was having a good night somewhere beautiful. I sent him a photo from my chair with the skyline behind me. He said that was worth every baht.

I sat there for hours. Sipping my drink, watching the lights, replying to messages from men who wished they were the one sitting across from me. Nobody was. The other chair was empty. That is how I like it. The company pays but does not have to show up.

Bangkok at night from thirty floors up is something else. And knowing someone else covered the whole evening makes it taste even better. I ordered another drink and put it on his tab.
