AC Day, Your Comfort

Had the air con cleaned today because Thailand decided to be a million degrees this week. The repair guy came over with his ladder and tools and spent two hours making my apartment breathable again.

I stood there watching him work and thinking about how expensive it is to stay cool in this country. The electricity bill alone could fund a small vacation. But not having AC in April is not an option.

While the AC was off I survived on a fan and pure determination. Also eggs and noodles because apparently that is all I have in the kitchen right now. The war has made everything expensive and my grocery situation is looking tragic.

But now the AC is clean, the air is cold, and I can exist in my apartment without melting. That is all a girl really needs. Cool air and someone to pay the electricity bill.
